Frequently Asked Questions
***We are not taking new students/groups at this time***
Is there a minimum age requirement for lessons?
No, there aren't any age restrictions, but I usually recommend that children be 8 or older. Students need to have the strength to draw a bow with a 10 pound draw weight and have the maturity level to listen and respond to instructions and exhibit safe and respectful behavior.
Do I need to have my own equipment to take lessons?
No, everything you need for your lesson will be provided at no extra charge. If you have your own bow and arrows, you are welcome to bring them to your lesson.
Where are lessons taught?
I teach private and group lessons from my home, but have suspended new student lessons as of 2018 while we pursue the construction of a new indoor and outdoor range. We are very excited about bringing more private and group lesson opportunities to Orange County in 2019!
What should I wear to my lesson?
I recommend flat-soled shoes or tennis shoes and any comfortable clothing that is not loose-fitting for shooting. Jackets that are somewhat fitted in the arms are preferred for cold weather shooting, along with a low collar or one that can be turned under. For ladies, no drop earrings or necklaces and hair should be pulled away from the face.
How do I schedule a lesson?
Simply click on the "Book Now" button at the top right of any page on this site, or send a message on the "Contact" page. Also, before coming to your lesson, please complete the Registration Form under the Contact tab on this site.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes, you can purchase a gift certificate for a one-hour ($60) or 1.5 hour private lesson ($75). Payments can be made with cash, check or PayPal. Please contact Christine for details.
