Frequently Asked Questions
***We are not taking group lessons at this time. Only lessons taught with the student's own equipment can be offered.***
Is there a minimum age requirement for lessons?
No, there aren't any age restrictions, but I usually recommend that children be 8 or older. Students need to have the strength to draw a bow with a 10 pound draw weight and have the maturity level to listen and respond to instructions and exhibit safe and respectful behavior.
Do I need to have my own equipment to take lessons?
At this time, due to the pandemic, students must have their own equipment and rentals are not available.
Where are lessons taught?
I teach private and small group lessons from my home near Jordan Lake in Chapel Hill, NC.
What should I wear to my lesson?
I recommend flat-soled shoes or tennis shoes and any comfortable clothing that is not loose-fitting for shooting. Jackets that are somewhat fitted in the arms are preferred for cold weather shooting, along with a low collar or one that can be turned under. For ladies, no drop earrings or necklaces and we recommend hair to be pulled away from the face.
How do I schedule a lesson?

Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes, you can purchase a gift certificate for a one-hour ($60) or 1.5 hour private lesson. Payments can be made with cash, check or Venmo. Please contact Christine for details.
